Thread: ncrha players in piha?

    ncrha players in piha?

Are there any current NCRHA players playing in the PIHA league?

If so, is this against any rules in the ncrha for college players to play pro and vice-versa.

The question really is..... Are they making any money from PIHA... NOT!

To answer your first question, yes - there are quite a few.

As far as your second question, IMO - because there are so many, I doubt it. It is also my opinion that playing in both leagues should be encouraged, not discouraged. Because the Collegiate season runs from September to April, I think it helps the college player keep sharp and in shape, and vicea-versa. As long as a player's NCRHA and PIHA schedules don't conflict with each other too much.

Yea, there are plenty of NCRHA/PIHA players, myself included along with a couple other from our team.

I don't think it is/should be illegal for the crossover play, at least in PIHAs current form. Were we actually making money, there would definitely be an issue to address. However, since the players on our team (and I am assuming other teams) are often shelling out hundreds of dollars to play PIHA I can't see that as being much of a conflict of interests.
