    all american's

    who do u think
i picked these based on what i saw watching plus some statisitcal consideration
i think the top 4 for d1 are almost a no brainer but gouge IMO could be LU's most solid player and easily first team
    d1 first team fudge(LU), middleton(LU),bruce(LU), tallo(umsl)
    d1second team gouge(LU), burrorws(LBS), tasch(UCI), nelson(URI)

Steve klenk dominated every shift he played all week he could have single handly beat maine by himself as well as being the mvp of championshgip game. mccubbins looked solid in the two games i saw him play i didn't get to see SLU play but from what i heard was O'Rourke was pretty solid as well and should be considered. Mariotti should be first team based on his defensive presences as well
d2 first team S. klenk (neumann) scotto (neumann) mccubbins (UCSD) mariotti(neumann)
    second team Saraceni(WCU) Donahue(neumann) keene(WCU) moody(Truman)

Yea those are solid DI picks....but I think u meant Middelton (UC-I).....n I wouldn't personally put him on the 1st team....just bc he didnt even cross the redline all nationals...but his team did only have 5 players so that could be why but I would say 44 on UC-I was more valuable to the team bc he set it all up n actually helped the team on D and Offense...but thats just my opinion...Middelton does have a great shot!

This may be because you play for Buffalo and Tasch did put on quite a show during that game....but it shouldn't take away from the fact that Charlie put us on his back to get us within 2 during the Stony Brook game, he had 5 of the 9 goals that night, along with the gwg with 1:30 left against Mizzou and so many others..I think they both made damn good arguments for all-american selections...but I am def. biased

That goal made me sad. I just couldn't last the final 1:30 after shutting him down all damn game.

If they both aren't all-American selections than something is wrong with the selection process. They were clearly two of the top eight players in the country.

i'd take tasch and middleton over any other duo around. t-moneys dangls are straight up sickk.

    I wouldn't.

    I would take Fudge-Gouge Bruce-Fudge Gouge-Bruce Clarke-Tallo Meade-Tallo Meade-Clarke Moody-Daugherty Tamburino-whoever over those two.

Not that they aren't good. The game against LU should've showed everyone what those sickk dangls are good for against a deep team.

I was shocked when they came back vs. SBU. They rode that momentum all the way to the finals. Congrats to them, but I like players who have a complete game myself....

The game against LU should've showed everyone what having 5 skaters and a goalie that's been playing for 6 months is good for against a deep team.

I certainly agree with you that judging by what is seen in NCRHA play, Middleton and Tasch appear to be one way players. However they both have the potential to play a "complete game" (believe it or not) and it's just that UCI adapted a system where each player has a specific role and their job was to put the puck in the net.

    Re: all american's

going into the LU-UCI game i thought Lindenwood would run them out the building, and it proved true. i never said anything about UCI's 5 players being able to hang with LU, all i was saying was that i thought Middleton and Tasch were a "top duo" in the country. put tasch and middleton on a team with 12 solid players, and i bet they would be even better and more of "complete players". its hard to backcheck balls out and play great defense when your averaging 30 minutes a game played and have absolutely no bench ...

also, i only got to watch 2 LU games in Colorado but #6 McGuinness (aside from Bruce) imo was one of there best players. everytime a goal was scored for LU it seemed like he was making something happen.

it was a one goal game going to the 3rd. i think its a little pathetic when you have the best players in the country and your only beating a team with five guys going into the 3rd period in a quarterfinal championship game. great UCI loved that SBU UCI game. finally we now have a East Coast West Coast rivalry in college roller hockey. One resides in New York and the other in California. Great for the league!

How is that a rivalry? They've only played each other one time, ever.

just because they have only played each other once doesn't mean there is no rivalry. I just figured that the likelihood of a east coast team west coast team meet is slim to none. It was a hard fought game and the fact that one almost claimed victory, and the end result was the other team. Makes the losing team more hungry to play them again. Such as the USA vs USSR. USA lost the first game and then upset them the next. Not saying this was an upset but that both teams will be ready to play each other again if it comes down to it.

Tamburino, Bruce, Tallo, Fudge, Tasch and Middleton are the best players in college roller hockey. And if you dont agree then you obviously dont know to much about hockey
