Minnesota vs. Minnesota State WCHA Game 1

    Did anyone see this game?

If not, it was a 1-0 double OT thriller and you should definitely catch it if you have a sports package that carries regional Fox Sports networks - I think this was on FSN.

I really wish someone in the NHL would wake up and realize that games don't have to be high scoring to be exciting. This wasn't some tentative trap game where neither team would take a chance. Instead, it had great flow, tons of scoring chances, and more excitement than any NHL game I've seen in recent memory. Both goaltenders played out of their minds - something like one goal allowed on 80 shots.

I didn't even get a Center Ice subscription this year because I'm content watching college games. The games have more flow, aren't dominated by special teams, and have the passion in them that NHL games seem to lack now.

Mike I couldnt agree with you more, I feel as if these kids are playing to make it to the NHL while the NHLers are already there.

BTW it was the WCHA Game 1.
