Problems with my curve?
Here's my problem (my hockey-related one anyway )....... I've been using a Shanny curve for about 4 years now (Ultra Graphite). I'm a total wrist shot, top shelf kind o'guy from like 10 feet in. I always thought I was fairly accurate hitting the corners under the crossbar.
Recently, I've been missing the net on my shots in a big way. Usually over the bar, but also wide of the post. Now I hate to blame my hockey woes on equipment. However the only other change I've made in equipment since then is my wheels. I had used 72mm straight chassis wheels. I just switched to 72mm, 80mm hi-los (also switched skate boot from CCM 752 to 1152, but that wouldn't matter). I'm wondering if this 8mm difference is affecting my shot. Also, I've always used a long stick--I'm 5'11" and use a non-cut Ultra lite).
I don't know if I should try a new curve or what. Chances are, I'm just playing poorly, but hell if nothing else, it'll give me an excuse to head up to the hockey shop and buy something. If anyone has any suggestions or help, it'd be greatly appreciated.
