    Tounry Help

I am trying to put together an adult inline tournament and i pretty much have full reign to do whatever i want to get this thing going, but I'm stuck on what I really should do to make this successful and fun for everyone so if anyone could help me out and give me some pointers and if people could through suggestions out there what they like and dislike about tournies that would be greatly appreciated

If you want to go with a traditional tournament there isn't a whole lot to do other than make sure the reffing is good and the games run on time. Try and give each team a decent number of games and just keep everything running smoothly. For an adult tournament most people are there to play hockey and won't care/won't participate in extra stuff you try and do. That being said I also love a good skills challenge, and not too many tournaments do it, but if you have the rink time it might be cool to add.

If you aren't stuck on doing a traditional full team tournament, Ironman tournaments are a great alternative (we do a couple per year here in Cincinnati/Columbus usually). Basically each team will only have 4 skaters and a goalie. You go out and play 12 minute games. In this setup each skater usually gets more time on the rink and the setup tends to encourage a lot of fun play.
