    Special Teams

I remember having this conversation on the old MB a while back about how effective a teams PP and PK are...I have always kept track of Shippensburg's and after talking to a mentally unstable goalie who plays for Cornell, not naming names, i was just wondering what everyone's PP and PK numbers looked like this season.

These include all PP's and PK's, no matter how long, 1 second - 2 minutes...

    Shippensburg

    Power Play: 31 for 55 for 56.36%
    Penalty Kill: 19 for 23 for 82.61%

Anyone else care to figure out there numbers and share?

You are mentally unstable. Your going to be hard pressed to find someone that will take your side in this argument. The fact that you knew i was talking about you proves my point. I could have been talking about your other goalie. Who knows, we might be friends.

i don't know our exact numbers percentage wise but i know we have 14 pp goals in the 7 games that stats are updated which comes out to an average of 2pp goals a game so i would say our power play is doing much better then last year.

for missouri state: pp is about 38% and pk is about 76%. 2 shorthanded goals too.

on a completely unrelated note, how many leagues have a mercy rule?

Everyone knows that my team was terrible in the first half, so I have no issues with sharing the numbers... http://www.pride.hofstra.edu/~afrey1/1sthalfstats.gif

Our PP numbers are kinda eh, but the PK is hanging in there. And not that it means anything, but our PK was at 90.32% when I was skating out (which was all but our last 2 games)

I could be wrong but I was under the impression that every region had some sort of mercy rule. Here in the MCRHL if there is an 8 goal differential it goes to running clock instead of stop clock.

well for the great plains it's a running clock after 8 then the game is over at 10. i was just wondering because i saw louisiana-lafayette beat some team 22-0.

    Lets see....

    1) you get more penalties than me every season
    2) you spend countless hours figuring out who plays who before the schedule comes out and trying to figure out who will win and lose all the games to see how regionals will shape up
    3) you get food poisoning to lose weight

    totally stable
