How about Paul Fritz scoring 4 SH goals in the third period against Emory

Including three in a row, on the same minor, all unassisted.

Has there ever been a unassisted Natural SH Hat Trick in NCRHA history before? That has to be a first...

This weekend , Tim Saraceni from West Chester scored 3 short handed goals in 13 seconds, yes 13 seconds. 0.05 and 0.01 of the second period and 11:53 of the third. 2 were unassisted...It was insane! He had a total of 6 goals that game...crazy!

the three short handed goals in a row is pretty sick, but i was looking at the box score and somehow its says fritz got an assist on a goal scored on a penalty shot...i was unaware this was possible, did he go out there and pass the puck to the kid taking the shot first?

The JMU goalie initially attempted to play with three wheels on one skate, but the the ref made him go change so they had to play without a goalie for the first five minutes.

some pretty good games and surprises. USC upset JMU 8-5, while WCU went 4-0, allowing only 5 goals and scoring 27!?! including a shutout of COC . . .

    Some great games this weekend!

Congrats to WCU and FSU on 4-0! Huge improvement with these programs in the past few years.

with all do respect tho for teams like fsu and james madison, they have had a much easier schedule than the other south teams such as uf, fiu, usf, and ucf. if they played those 4 teams (plus bcc) as much as they all play each other, theres no way fsu is in first place right now. and james madison would probly not even be talked about. uf, fiu, usf, and ucf are definitely the best D1 teams in the southeast. 5 of fsu's 6 lossed have come by these teams (and bcc) with none of fsu's wins coming against them. not trying to rain on anyones parade but its just the truth

You are correct, the Southern Conference is much stronger than the Norther Conference. Those Northern teams will have a wake-up call in regionals. However, I was at the event this weekend and FSU looked like a totally different team than how they started this season, some of their opponents didnt even touch the puck
USF looked average and their record showed it.
James Madison is not as strong as their record shows and will probably be eliminated 1st round at regionals if they face any southern opponent.

As far as scheduling goes it is there choice that they decided to travel up North to play those "easier teams".... USF attempted to do the same thing this weekend and finished 2-1-1.

In my opinion the only real strong team in the south is UF... UCF and FIU still have alot to prove

broward is really good they are just D3. we were kinda just talking about D1 teams i think. i also think uf, fiu, and ucf are all about even teams. but if you had to rank them they would be in that order

Yea, I definitely agree, it should be interesting to see what happens when UF and company play SE D2 teams like Elon and WCU this weekend
