    Week 2 Predictions!

Well, after a fun and exciting week 1. I thought it would be cool to see how people expect week 2 to turn out. Here are some of the games on tap for this weekend:

Southside Snipers at River City Whalers
Northern California Mustangs at San Jose Pirates
Marple Gladiators at Boston Swamp Rats
Aston Demolition at New Jersey Stampede
St. Louis Cobras at Midwest Tornados
    Winchester Generals at York Typhoon
Feasterville Fury at New Jersey Grizzilies
Long Island 495ers at Massachusetts Bombers
    Savannah Stingers at Potomac Mavericks
    Marple Gladiators at Massachusetts Bombers
Long Island 495ers at Boston Swamp Rats
Hartford Fire Ants at Conneticut Blaze

Also, with the crazy college football season that just came to an end. Have we seen any big upsets? Were there any surprises to the first week of the season? Who might be the dark horse coming into this season? Should we have the Harris Poll and the BCS system in PIHA??

    Re: Week 2 Predictions!

    My Predictions are as follows:

Southside Snipers at River City Whalers: don't know enough about these teams, but for predictions sake i am calling it a split.

Northern California Mustangs at San Jose Pirates: same as above, but i hear that the Pirates have a pretty decent squad so i am picking them in a sweep.

Marple Gladiators at Boston Swamp Rats: This one is kind of easy, the Rats take both.
Aston Demolition at New Jersey Stampede: I'm taking the Stampede in this one, but I'm not too sure about my pick.

St. Louis Cobras at Midwest Tornados: Sorry Midwest guys, but i don’t know anything about you guys. I flipped a coin and it was in favor of the cobras both times.

Winchester Generals at York Typhoon: I hear York is not that good this year (i may be wrong) but in light of that information I’m taking the Generals in sweep.

Feasterville Fury at New Jersey Grizzlies: I think the Grizzlies will take this one, but it might be closer than some people think.

Long Island 495ers at Massachusetts Bombers: I hear those Long Island boys are pretty good, so I’m taking them in a sweep.

Savannah Stingers at Potomac Mavericks: I should be representing the SE conference on this one, but i can't. Mavericks in a sweep.

Marple Gladiators at Massachusetts Bombers: Both teams will be tired from there previous games, so i will call these games as a split.

Long Island 495ers at Boston Swamp Rats: This should be some really good hockey to watch. (I wish I was there to see it) I'm def calling this game a split, but wouldn't be surprised if either team left with a sweep.

Hartford Fire Ants at Connecticut Blaze: If the Blaze bring there squad, then this should be a sweep.

No matter what the outcome of these games, I’m sure that they all will be a sight to see. Good luck to all the teams playing this week.

About there being a BCS type of system, I’m def not for that. Besides playoffs are a lot more dramatic than a group of people voting on which teams deserve to play in certain games.

    Re: Week 2 Predictions!

The Demolition/Stampede Series will be a good one, Aston works way harder then any team i've played against in PIHA and a small rink benefits a team like that.... HOWEVER, Morristown is not an easy place to win a game (as far as the Growl are concerned) Mo'town has one of it's best teams this season, since Jimmy V was there. I am going to predict a split in this series with Aston suprising Mo'town in game 1 and then Mo'town gettin it together for the win in game number 2.

The Feasterville/Grizzlies series should be a good one as well. The grizz could be the second hardest working team in PIHA. Game is at Isca, another tough place to play, slow floor and small dimensions level out the playing field there. Feasterville has a good team this year, let's see if they can gel with each other and get past the gnatty play of the grizzlies. This series I am also predicting a split, but i think ISCA will take game 1 and feasterville game 2
