How Do I Get In

I was just wondering how one joins into the NCRHA? Do I just show up at a college and ask to join or do I have to get noticed or something. Are there tryouts; if so are they before the college semester begins? And what kind of puck does the NCRHA use? Do they use the puck with the three metal ball bearings or the ones with the rubber knobs. Any information regarding competitive hockey in college would be greatly appreciated. I've been playing for 10 years and I want to continue playing at a competitive level not just as an intramural.

A lot of it has to deal with if your school has a team, although you could potentially start your own team. Most teams have tryouts but they usually are right as the year begins, at least thats how we run it. The NCRHA uses IDS pucks, rubber knobs. If you check out www.ncrha.org there is A LOT of information there, and I'm sure there are many other people on this board with some better information than I have

If you're up at Endicott, see if you can't get some of the guys on the club ice team to start a club with you.

I have not graduated high school yet, I'm only 17 but I'm really interested in playing in the NCRHA. I am thinking of going to the University of Tampa because my dad just moved to Saint Pete. If anyone knows any information on that school that would be helpful. Thanks.
