College Info Booth
Attention all collegiate programs:
I am currently working with the Premier High School Roller Hockey League out of Skate Safe America in Old Bethpage, Long Island. One of our main goals is to increase the interaction between collegiate coaches/club officers/players and the high school players/coaches/parents. I plan to focus on educationg the high school players and parents about the opportunities the NCRHA can offer them.
Doing so, we plan to create a college information booth that will be on display at each high school and youth league game. I am asking all college Roller Hockey programs to send any information they would like to offer:
Admissions info, Campus info, Sport Clubs/Athletics info, Roller Hockey Program info and history, Coaching Staff info, photos, awards, etc.
Please send all items to the following address:
Attn: Jim Tamburino
Skate Safe America
182 Bethpage Sweet Hollow Rd.
Old Bethpage, New York, 11804
Please send anything you can. If you have any questions, please post in the forum or email me at [email protected]
Thank you,
Jim

Re: College Info Booth
Jim;
I read your forum post and applaud your efforts to enlighten your high school players for both educational and roller hockey opportunities after high school. I am also curious about what response you may have received in your efforts to connect with collegiate sources. In these matters, I believe we share some common goals.
I am a Director with the Orange County, California-based IHF High School League (www.ihf-hockey.org) and a contributing writer of high school roller hockey articles. I am also the DMOZ editor for High School Roller Hockey on the Internet (www.dmoz.org/Sports/Hockey/Roller_Hockey/High_School/). In all capacities, I am on a quest to gather information and collaborate with with likeminded persons and/or organizations regarding promoting the sport and rallying support for issues pertaining to interscholastic roller hockey such as recognition programs, club status, Varsity letters and even obtaining a statewide sanctions. Further, as caretakers of the sport, to address questions such as: Where do kids go after high school?; What are we preparing them for?; and Where will the next generation come from?
As you likely know, there are many organizations similar to our own across the country and I believe that developing some relationship amongst us will help us all achieve some higher level for our sport and respective organizations.
I realize that you are busy, and as such, I will keep this brief. I would appreciate any additional information you might lend toward the current and future High School Roller Hockey programs in your area and for any opportunities you might envision for our working together. I would also like to have some brief synopsis of the Mission Premier High School Roller Hockey League for use in posting to the DMOZ directory. Thank you in advance for any cooperation you may provide.
Best wishes for continued success with your programs!
Regards,
Jay Piz
