I wanna Know everyone's opinion for the top 15 Defensemen in the East.
I wanna Know everyone's opinion for the top 15 Defensemen in the East.
I know he is on my team, so it seems biased but it is Mike Keating...hands down!
Yea i know but i want Top 15 in the East
Great topic...I'll just give a top 5 which I think is for sure...
1. Greg Thompson (Long Island 495ers)
2. Jon Mosensen (Long Island 495ers)
3. Mike Keating (Philadelphia Growl)
4. Jay Mazer (Harrisburg Lunatics)
5. Brock Wilson (Pittsburgh Bandits)
Tough to judge defensemen with a wide brush.
Some guys are stay at home, some are more offensive. I think it is better to rate defensemen in categories.
ok top 10 Scoring Defensemen.
Few compare to Greg Thompson.
1. Greg Thompson
2 Mike Keating
3 Jd Davison
4. Tj Plaugher
5. Jay Mazer
In no particular order here is my top D-men:
Greg Thompson
Mike Keating
Mike Enright
Jay McGeown
David Kull
Jay Mazer
John Mosenson
Joe Tamburino
Robbie Fulton
JD Davidson
Ray Katinsky
Not all of the team rosters are up so I am not positive who is playing and who is not.

TJ Plaugher shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentance as "defenseman"

#...91?
It's probably not fair for me to comment because I've seen very few games involving teams from the Mason Dixon and Southeast divisions, but I think Tro has hit the nail on the head with this list.
I'd just like to add one name to this list...John Gambale of the Mass Bombers. This guy is as shut down as they get and he's just as good with the puck. He defeinitely deserves a mention along with the impressive list of D-men that have been recognized in this thread.
No mention of Daryl Interbartolo.....
Greg Thompson is at the top of my list too...
Welcome back to Joe Tamburino!!! one of the originals pros!!
I know he is from my team, and this is going to come off as completely biased but Kevin Hollenbush is one of the most outstanding all around defensemen that I have watched play PIHA over the years. I havent seen some on these lists, and Im sure they are every bit what people claim, but I do agreee with all the ones here I have seen. Especially Katinsky.
hey todd ill pass the props along to my brother ... he doesnt sink to our level and look on the message boards haha but yeah luckily i have always been on his team, because he does not look easy to get around
Bill Katinsky
I have played against Ray a few times and when I have the puck coming towards him I tend to always keep my distance and look for the pass....I've never seen him get beat 1 on 1.
Jay Mazer is def up there too, can't let him get into empty space.
Keating would be my pick for best in the east, I can't remember seeing him get beat 1 on 1 in the past 3 or 4 years I've been playing against him. Always smart with the puck, he's fast and doesn't lack in scoring either.
