Nice jerseys Drew the logo fits good.
Good Luck this Season Drew
Nice... very patriotic style of jerseys, reminds me of the Philidelphia Liberdy's jerseys. With the liberdy bell and all that...

I am sorry but that is one ugly jersey, too much going on. The eagle on the back looks like he simply has no head. the logo on the front dosnt look right either, the eagle's feet look out of place, they look like giant arms, since when do eagles have feet as big as their heads? You have a cool idea, but if you could fix it up a little better it would look more professional.
are there legal issues in any way regarding using a team nickname that is used by a team in the region? I was just curious, because it seems that the geographic location of this organization is relatively close to the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer. I will keep my comments about the unis to myself, but perhaps some creativity in team names should be considered.
I think I have heard one or two people on here say something like that before...

Seems appropriate to me with the name. Philadelphia - Nation's first Captial during the American revolution, Valley Forge just minutes away (an encampment for then general George Washington during same revolution), Declaration of Independence signed there, Constitution adopted there, both written there, Ben Franklin's (key writer of both above and pivotal figure in our indepence both domestically and foreign)home, Liberty Bell, blah, blah, blah.
It is not uncommon for two teams of different sports from different regions or cities to have the same theme name. Does this New England soccer team adopt the name Philadelphia? of course not. NFL and MLB do it with the Cardinals, in fact both teams years ago were in the same city! College and High Schools use the same name many thousands of times over across the country. Take for instance the Hershey Bears of the AHL and the Chicago Bears of the NFL, I don't see an outcry of this anywhere. I'm sure if we look harder we could come up with many more. Who follows soccer anyhow? Real sports are played with a puck. (this is only a joke btw, sarcasm)
As for the Eagle on the jersey. I think personally it is both creative and colorful. Sure its busy. but its eye catching, its patriotic, and it IS three dimensional. If you look closely (as opposed to narrowly) the eagle's wings are spread and the head is not visible. Why? Because it's head is busting out the front of the jersey, leading with the claws. Why again? Because he ripped the front of the jersey with his (assuming this eagle is male, in fear of insulting yet another sensitive reader) claw. That is why it is huge, its coming through first. It also needs to have big claws. How is he going to hold that stick with tiny claws? Besides, Eagles are sort of large birds with....Big claws? The head is certainly proportionate with eagles body on the back of the jersey. Absolutely gorgeous jersey! This guy who designed it has a future for sure.
i agree 100% with the entire post.
As far as team names are concerned, you can even pick a few other PIHA teams that use Pro sport team names...mavericks, sharks, grizzlie, pirates....its not uncommon.
As for the jersey I love it. Philly prideplus, the Revolution will be playing at my local rink. Good luck Drew.

Just keep in mind that the jersey isn't quite complete. The wings are being adjusted as well as the "oversized claws" to actually be holding the stick. There is also discussion of the 2nd jersey being black instead of the blue. Thanks for the feedback though, good and bad. Keep it comin' !!
I appreciate the well wishers also!
Should be an interesting season...
is that the final roster? the site says its having difficulties...
Not final, Ed Reyes is still working on it.
Drew
I'm, tired of hearing everyone complain about the originality of the leagues teams' names and logos.....no matter what a team names them selves of course there's gonna be other teams out there (in any sport) with the same name.
What one guy thinks may be new and creative another guy will think it's just being copied from some other abstract team in some other league of some other sport.
