    Good work on the interview!

However, at the end he said that Doug assures fans there will be lots of fighting at the games....

    Doesn't seem right. Was it a mis-quote I hope?

Great press for the team, the division and the league Chris. Im quite positive that he said fighting at the game...not in the game Dave. These fans will be "fighting to get in the door" (winks here)

Yeah, I caught that as well and like I said I wasn't there, but I have a feeling as charismatic as Doug Jones and David Frost can be, I'm going to assume that it was a play on words by some reporter. Regardless, I'm going to go with the interpretation that Mr. Wiley gave it ;-) Theres still some 3 other news channels with clips and interviews on us that I haven't gotten a hold of yet, and number of newspaper publications.

    Hey Chris,

I found the web site easily enough, but not the story. Do you have a direct URL for the article?

    Thanks, Chris. Got it!

If there is fighting, I hope Doug's not playing. I've seen him fight.

That's what I've got online. Also, we made front page of one of the newspapers in Myrtle Beach. And we were in the sports sections of several others.

More great press Chris. It looks like you have a great staff working with you as well. You cant buy that kind of press either! I see the new video clip doesnt mention the fighting TO GET INTO THE GAME...
If everyone could work to get this kind of press for their team. Just a couple articles and a single tv newscast, imagine how far the impact would be in getting attention broad scope across the nation?

Each team needs to put together a media kit, in a simple folder, with some bios, info of the team and league, some sort of photo or two, and a gift like a tshirt or a hat or a puck with the team logo on it, and send it to each tv station and a few radio and newspapers, for less than $100 bucks you would garner attention in local news and media. I guess you can actually buy that kind of press.....Just tips to other teams out there....hmmm

    Hey Coach,

Great suggestion. I have edited several print magazines during my career, and a press package with a cool T-shirt, color photos and publication-specific press materials always went a long way. Make it as easy as possible for the publication to print your information, and make it hard for them to say no by targeting them properly. Don't send inline hockey material to Architectural Digest, for example.

I was very impressed with the coverage the Pirates have already received, and I hope the future media that the team gets is as positive.
    Sincerely,
