    Lightbulb Question On Goalie Pads

Could of sworn I already posted this..

I just purchased goalie chest pads and noticed the shoulder aren't as big as my standard forward shoulder pads. I could have stacked them, if I didnt throw my itech shoulders out.. DOH!!.. what should i do?

This is the chest protection I purchased:

    Re: Question On Goalie Pads

Do you mean you wanted to stack your forward shoulder pads on top of your chest/arm protector? If thats the case, you're better off without them and here's why:
    1. It would severely restrict your movement
    2. It's not going to offer you any extra protection, not that you will need it. It doesn't hurt that much, besides, you're a hockey player remember?
    3. It adds extra blocking area, which is illegal in league play.. and I imagine you're playing in a league given the fact you bought that chest protector.
Hope that helps, unless I completely misread your question.

    Re: Question On Goalie Pads

The shoulders aren't as wide because it's not legal to have them that wide. Not that any inline league you're playing in will measure, but they are not going to produce them that way.

They also are kind of small because you got a mid-level chest protector. The higher end the model, usually the more blocking space (not bulk) that is included in it.
