New league for Manhattan professionals
Some of the teams that used to play in the now-defunct Chelsea Piers adult roller hockey league in New York City are starting up a new league called the Manhattan Roller Hockey League. We plan to play at the Paul McDermott rink in the the Stanley Isaacs Park at 96th Street and First Avenue on the upper Eastside. We plan to hold our games on Sunday afternoons and weeknights when there's enough daylight from mid-May through September.
We're looking for teams sponsored by large (500 or more employees) Manhattan professional firms. If you work at a company that can muster a roster of at least 15 players (aged 18 and over) you should contact the person responsible for sports teams, probably someone in the Human Resources or Administration departments, and steer them to the website link below.
Players of all ability levels will be welcome and we will strongly encourage co-ed teams. Check out our website for more information: www.manhattanrollerhockeyleague.com
