Each region has their own minor game.

Gateway's will be in St. Louis (most likely the same weekend as Colorado which is March 23rd-25th).

    Information will be out soon.

Nice to see each team having at least one representative.

    Congrat's to all.

Well not totally true, I don't see the Cincinnati Flying Monkeys or the Hartford Fire Ants represented.

I think John Roux of the Pittsburgh Bandits should be one of the coaches. Going 20-0 to start the season should qualify him as an all star coach in my books.

Looks like quite a bit of skill in the game, hopefully someone tapes it.

    Re: All Star Selections Announced

my personal opinion, there are too many teams, too many good players, and inline rosters are too small to have every or almost every team represented. if you want everyone included, have 4 teams. if you want the best players, take the best players. this was my opinion last year as well, and i was there. my opinion, and only an opinion. that being said, congrats to everyone that made it and good luck, it should be a great time.

    My non-all-star team...

    Jim Vivona
    Ron Tracy
    Bobby Beauchamp
    JD Davidson
    Jim Readstreake
    Ziggy Marszalek
    Brock Wilson
    Mike Ciolli
    Travis Fudge
    Greg Thompson

    Jason Rorhbach
    Dustin Brown

*disclaimer: in no way am i saying that either the growl or the bandits deserved 6 all-stars from their team. i am also aware that some players may have chosen not to attend the game for personal reasons or conflicts.

additional note: 8 of the top 20 scorers in the league will not be attending the all-star game.

    Re: All Star Selections Announced

It is a complete mystery to me how Jim Vivona was left off this roster. I realize that only so many players can make it from a team, but Jimmy is 4th in the league in scoring, a former MVP, top scorer, and has been to the finals in all three of his seasons played. We all know there isnt a better embassador for the league then Jimmy and I find it hard to believe that multiple teams didn't recommend him.

flynner, any insight into the selection process?

every player at the all-star game is missing out on jimmy not being there. his stories were the most entertaining part of the whole weekend last year. it should be a rule that he should be there in some capacity every year even after he retires.

I filled in for a tournament with Mr. Vivona (as well as Mr. Flynn and some others), and I gotta say that it would only be a good thing to have him there. TheSnake is right in saying that the players at the game are missing out. It's not like his stats are sub-par.

That said, congrats to all the All-Stars!

Jon was originally selected but because of work he is unable to attend. He really wanted to go and was happy to be selected though.

I was busy at the bar but I do remember a story about CH's shoes' or sandals and a toilet?? Jimmy want to tell that one again, or how about the one where Flynner took your money in hold'em.
Thank God Someone Was Nice Enough To Put Me On Their Team!

I think the teams are awesome, and it's gonna be a great game. You guys on the east coast that wanna find out more about the rocky mountain guys, check out Brian Rogers, the kid is unbelievable. His mind for the game, especially at 19, is just off the charts. If you get the chance to check him out, definitely do so.
