Need some advice!!

I have been out of hockey for a few years now and just getting back into it as a rink owner. So I have a few questions.

I am getting ready to open a rink, and was wondering what type of flooring i should go with. The floor in the present rink is marble which makes for a fast moving game. I am not sure if I should stick with this or not.

Also what is the puck of choice these days, Back in my days Jofa and the IDS pro shot were the pucks to use.

I am also thinking of aligning with USA inline hockey is this a good choice?

I Think Sport Court Is Probably The Best I've Skated On. Puck Moves Nicely And Its Easy To Grip With The Skates.

Floor of choice would definately have to be sport court...sport court is used in most roller hockey facilities now-a-days...the problem with marble is its almost too sticky which leads to tough spils when you fall...sport court has a little lee-way to it....

as far as pucks go, id have to say ids and rocket pucks are definately the leading pucks...also watch for missions new puck comming soon which is in prototype as we speak....who knows when/if it'll ever be on the market...

Make sure that you have that 1/8 inch rubber padding under the floor. That is the big difference between a loose floor or a hollow floor. Without that padding the puck bounces and gets up on edge like crazy.

IDS is the best puck.

Don't count on hockey to pay the bills. Utilize every inch of space in your building. The Marple Sports Arena seems to keep their building busy all of the time.

p.s. A temperature controlled building is a huge selling point.

I have skated on sport court before and I remember it always made a clicking noise when we skated on it.

The building we will be useing is temperature controlled so that is nice. I believe we will be doing both inline and soccer inside it.
