D1 WCRHL this past weekend...

Was absolutely nuts. It seemed like every single game was a nailbiter, it was awesome to experience such parity at such a high level.

The UC Irvine vs. UC Davis and the CSU San Bernardino vs. Cal Poly SLO were pretty much instant classics, but i don't recall a single game that one team dominated another completely.

Should make to be a great regionals.

...And it appears that this weekend will be interesting as well. A lot of big matchups that will determine the regular season champion.

Right now, it is UC Irvine's title to lose, But Cal Poly SLO still controls their own destiny, and UC Davis has an outside shot at it w/help. CSU San Bernardino, with only two games this weekend, is out of the running, along with Chapman, and UC Santa Barbara.

Most games this weekend will be huge, but a few in particular to watch for include-

UC Davis vs. Riverside CC 11:00AM (First Matchup)
UC Irvine vs. Cal Poly SLO 12:00PM (Cal Poly SLO leads 1-0-1)
UC Irvine vs. CSU San Bern. 2:15PM (UC Irvine leads 1-0-1)
Cal Poly SLO vs. UC Davis 4:15PM (UC Davis leads 1-0-1)

I think the picture will be clear going into regionals after the dust has settled on these games.

I'm looking forward to seeing some great games this weekend. I'm playing with the ASU team, we have 4 exhibition games. This will be the first NCRHA event I've been to, should be fun.
