The North Pittsburgh Hockey League's 2007 season will begin on May 18, 2007. The NPHL is a travel league and is an official affiliate league of the Mid Atlantic Roller Hockey Association.
The league runs from May through the end of July, concluding with a championship series. The league is an adult league, ranging in skill level from around that of a B level house league to some elite players dotting the rosters of several teams. Games are played in 2 game series to cut down on travel, and the league is very reasonably priced.
We are currently looking for teams to round out the 2007 lineup. Three teams based out of Pittsburgh that played in the first season last year will return along with several potential expansion teams in northwestern PA and northeastern OH. We are looking for more teams anywhere in eastern Ohio or western Pennsylvania, along with any teams in northern West Virginia and northern Maryland.
I would like to invite any and all interested teams to a meeting on March 3, 2007 at Bladerunners in Harmarville, PA. The meeting will begin at 11:00 AM and run until around 3:00 PM. We will present everything about the league from costs to scheduling to rules. Additionally, other players who are not part of a team already but are in the areas previously mentioned can contact me via PM or email, as there are several teams looking to round out their rosters.
