    Skate Help...Hockey Stop

Can it be done on inline skates, like it is done on ice skates?
    Thanks,
    Sean

The physical performance of the stop is the same.

The "touch and feel" is, of course, slightly different, because with ice blades, the blades are actually digging into the ice (a downward force vector). With wheels, the friction to stop is created by the wheels sliding sideways on the floor surface (a "sideways" force vector if you will).

It should take you about twenty minutes to get the feel for it...go to a local rink, and watch some of the high level players go from 60-to-zero, you will pick it up just fine.
