    This Wknd Showdowns

Everyone toss in some predictions here, this is a big weekend of games.

Growl vs Minutmen: Minutemen use to play these guys tough, but im predicting two blow outs this time around from the growl.

Growl vs Grizzlies: 1-1 this season, im gonna say the Growl take both in pretty close games.

Pittsburgh vs Harrisburg: Can pitt stay undefeated? Or will the Tics bring these one's home? Im saying a split

I've got my bets on the Growl taking the entire weekend, and then Harrisburg lighting up the short-handed bandits.

well i appreciate the fact that you guys think we will win 3 or 4 of our games this weekend... BUT we def have our work cut out for us... we are playing on two of the smallest rinks in the league and they are two of the hardest floors to play on... def a home team advantage, plus it was shown last weekend that we are human after all and lost a game... so anything can happen... can we win 4 games... yeah, but if we dont show up again we can lose 4 too...

Without Ciolli and Marszalek, Bandits lose at least one to Harrisburg, maybe both.

I wouldnt be surprised if the grizzlies win one of the two games. I think Harrisburg will win both games but I dont think they will light up the bandits

There are some other great games this weekend, that frankly might be even more important than the games mentioned. The Growl, Tics, and Bandits will all be in the playoffs, but a few games will have seriously playoff implications, when you look back at the end of the reg season.

    Blizzard vs Prowlers
    Blaze vs Bombers
    Blizzard vs Catz
    Gladiators vs eXpress
    Pythons vs Whalers

No one has mentioned that the Tics must also play the Inferno this weekend. There may be no team that is tougher on their home rink then the Inferno.

Good luck to the Flyingh Monkeys as well. They play their first home games of the season this weekend.

Went to watch my old team the Bandits play against Harrisburg today and someone got lit up, but it wasn't the Bandits...

    Game 1 - Bandits 3, Lunatics 0
    Game 2 - Bandits 8, Lunatics 1

The first game was a very good defensive game, scoreless well into the second half. Bandits capitalized on a power play, then took advantage of a Lunatics mistake on a 3 on 2, coming back the other way on a 3 on 2 of their own and capitalizing. Added an empty net goal for the win. Second game was all bandits. teams traded early goals and then the bandits put in 2 more before halftime. Another goal early by the bandits and then a major penalty by the Lunatics during which the bandits scored 4 goals iced the game. Lots of penalties in both games. Bandits powerplay was very impressive and the Lunatics only goal came short-handed despite having a fair amount of chances. Brett Leggat was very impressive in both games making some big saves, including more than one on big Ying who was more than a little frustrated. Harrisburg could have easily stolen the first game, but with the Bandits missing 2 world class players along with another very good player and also Plaugher lol... they are going to be a hard team to match up with all season long... Jimmy Readstreake will be making a case for MVP if he keeps scoring big goals like he did today...

Lunatics will be very motivated after these games and will come out with something to prove next time these teams meet...

yeah we split with the MM today... lost 6 - 3 in the first one.... Kyle D. stole the game for the MM, played amazing, play was in their zone for 85% of the game... game 2 we came out a little fired up, having lost back to back games for the first time in two years and solved Kyle D. winning 4-0... good job to the MM this weekend.. bandits running away with it so far...

I know that the Bombers beat the Blaze 7-1 in game one, the Blaze won the second game, but not sure of the score.

Damn. Maybe, 32-0 isn't so farfetched after all.
