    Something different.

Now I'm sure the better majority of inline guys out there right now are using Tour or Mission inline skates. Which is fine. I've always been a big fan of CCMs. I've used the CCM 752 RH skate for abour 5 years. Well today I splurged and bought a CCM 1152 ice skate and did the whole "skate-bake" customization thing. Of course when the guy asked my how I wanted my skates sharpened, and I told them I was converting them to inlines, he gave me a REAL weird look. Hell I haven't stepped out in a ice rink in over 3 years. Well my next step is buying a chassis. My first choice is the Tour RedLine. What would you guys recommend? My previous pair of skates I mention had a regular flat, non-rockered chassis. Now I will upgrade to standards and start using a "Hi-Lo" chassis. WOW. I've got a tourney next week, and I'll be doing the double duty of breaking in new skates AND getting used to Hi-Lo's. Hopefully, when I'm not falling on my face, I'll put a few points on the statsheet. Sorry to have rambled. Happy Hockey!

I live in St. Louis, MO so I'm pretty much just a rinkrat in this area. One of my teammates built a HUGE 3-rink inline complex(by the way, he's got some money obviously) that he is opening this week. There's an inaugural ironman tournament, which I'll be playing in on Wednesday Sept 5.. I'm definitely looking forward to it. I believe Tour, Mission, and Black Biscuit have already contacted him about possibly holding some tournaments there. If anyone wants to check out his new (or old) rink go to www.mattesonsquaregarden.com There's a few pics on the site, so check it out!

Don't get a vibe, please. those things are annoyingly loud and Mission is trying to force the market in their direction by having the Vibe2 on nearly every skate next year...not having a choice sucks

Ain't used the Redline, Labeda's always made some decent stuff..the guys who've used the 1152's i've seen have gone with a Red star composite or Generator Carbon for the weight savings ..hook it up with some mini bearings and its one light mofo..

mattesonsquaregarden..oh god...that is lame...if you have to plagarize, to a point, the "World's Most Famous Arena", lame lame lame..like bars being called "Graham Central station"

Good idea, I agree with Gary, get the red star carbon chasis, its awsome, no vibe, personally I think its all just hype, mission is pushing it because it can be sold for about $300, and it is heavy. If you are going to go with traditional aluminum, Sure Grip is always a good choice, and the tour redline is a good one too!
My choice would have to be the red star though!

Trust me, I have NO plans in getting a Mission Vibe chassis. The whole concept of those seems ridiculous to me. I had Sure-Grips on my old skates and they were excellent. The only thing that sucks is that it's hard to find Sure-Grips in my area. They'd have to be specially ordered. I would like to keep my skates lightweight, however I don't want the chassis to bend on the first slapshot that hits it. I;m still kinda leaning toward Tour.

By the way, the rink "Matteson Square Garden" technically isn't plagiarizng. The owner's last name is "Matteson", so it's just a perfect marketing name for a hockey rink. Kind of a play on words. Wish I'd thought of it.
