    NARCh Pro

Looks like there are only 5 teams in the Pro Division at NARCh. Not only that, but it appears that there is no playoff structure, just 1 seed vs 2 seed for the final. Yet people still consider this a better tournament then TORHS. I say not!

    a few reasons why...

Yeah TORHS had more teams. They also had pro scores such as 6-1, 7-0, 8-0, 7-1, and 9-2.
If I recall correctly there were 5 teams in Pro at TORHS Finals last year. One of those teams was from Brazil and they were mercied every single game. Correct me if I'm wrong here.
NARCh drew 10 teams to Pro at 2006 Finals. And no teams were mercied. No games with more than 5 goal deficit.
Team Mission/Mission Habs are one of the best, young pro teams out there, with all their players having played in Juniors in 2006. They don't play TORHS, only NARCh.
Well, and then there's the matter of prestige and history as well. Why would NARCh even be considered the best of the best pro tournament series when TORHS puts up considerably larger cash prizes? Prestige...doesn't matter if there's not as much money up for grabs, NARCh medal is still the most sought after in roller hockey.
That said, TORHS runs a great Pro series. But it is NARCh...

Oh, and as far as there being 'no playoff structure,' its a matter of making every single round robin game mean something. And they do mean something. The stands and the building have been packed for every single pro game so far. A lot of games going down to the wire and a lot of excitement. Sounds like a good structure to me.

Well according to my sources out there, Pama just defeated the Mudcats 5-4 in overtime. Sounds like another good Pro Final.

That team was incredibly stacked. Had to play against them...no fun at all. Great team.

I agree that the 1v2 final, with no other playoff = every round robin game has meaning...

    -however-

it hasta suck to be a Mission Sniper, go 1-0-2, not lose a single game, and not make the final...bummer...was a very good final game.

Frankly, the opening day of 3 games was equally good.

Yeah. I definitely agree. That does suck for the Snipers but boy did it make for high-intensity round robin games.
The best solution has to be somewhere in between round robin games being mostly meaningless and them being so important that a team can go undefeated, tie the top 2 teams and not make the championship game.
