Mich St. vs Towson is going to be awesome and needs to happen. I think Towson wins by 2 this year.

p.s Drexel B is overrated unless that wasnt the same team that got abused by Towson.

If i recall directly, towson played burke in that game, not the goalie who got "abused" by rutgers that morning. And therre were a few questionable goals. "abused" by towson? honestly what game were you watching, that was one of the closely matched, tightest games i saw that entire weekend.

I saw the Drexel vs Towson game and i felt like Towson is the better team. I dont know maybe its because they had a kid on quads and we are are almost in the year 2007. Yes that kid is pretty nasty on those things, i cant lie there. But if i wasnt mistaken i thought they were illegal but i guess not in the ECRHA. So to summarize drexel is a good team but if the southern teams are looking for a challenge i think Towson is better then Drexel. OO and by the way look at Burkes games played hes played in a lot of B games.

Since i was timekeeping that game, ill add my insight...Drexel B is a good team. That game they got beat by a better team and they knew it. I wouldnt make the statement that Towson B is better than Drexel B or vice versa as the score shows, it was a close game. Burke and Vensel are competing with Scott for the jobs on each team, dont discredit a team because of there goalie.

Quads are legal in the NCRHA, and it has something to do with the color stopper on the skate.

It could be argued (with a lot of merit) that I'm the third best goalie at Towson this year. Drexel is a very strong team and I think the B division right now is a race between them, us, Suffolk and Rutgers. I haven't checked the standings, just going by memory of who we've played, so don't flip if I left your team out

Also, games played as a forward are NOT the same as GP as a goaltender per NCRHA rules. We get charged with a 'forward' game played just for dressing.

This is why this sport stays at the same level year in and year out. It is people like you that bring it down in every aspect. Shut your mouth and play the game. You have no right saying what you did. You don't know them, and you don't know how hard they've worked to get where they are today. Keep your opinions to yourself.

I don't see college ice hockey players, or any college athletes, on message boards talking trash. But I guess that's why they're considered athletes.

go to USCHO.com forums and tell me college ice hockey players , D1 Scholarship players, aren't talking trash. or go to laxpower.com and see college lacrosse players talking trash. Educate yourself before you make broad generalized statements. what is said on message boards means nothing about athleticism. Unless you make completely false statements like Respek has made numerously.(no offense respek)

so in conclusion, I still think towson is not very good same as rutgers. and respek who do u play for? cause im sure they probally lack the talent as some other B division teams

For this post being about the Atlanta event for the Southeast, I think it's safe to say that this post is completely off topic. For one, to say that Towson B and Rutgers B sucks and that some other play on here sucks is ridiculous. The mere fact that people have to come on here and say that teams and players suck hiding behind a fake handle shows a lot about their character. Look at Tambo6. I'm fairly certain that everyone knows exactly who that is. He comes on here, makes good points and you have to respect him because right now he's probably one of the top 5 players in the ECRHA. It's honestly a shame that people like him have to come on here and attempt to regulate the morons of our league so that we can attempt to save face to the public. This is the entire reason the message boards on the NCRHA got shut down. Please, for the sake of everyone, keep it calm and don't knock teams when your comments are obviously misguided and terribly wrong. Keep the message boards clean and fun so that we can continue to have them. I think one of the best things about this league is that players can spend entire weekends at the rinks and get to hang out and interact with players from other schools. Comments like that are only going to ruin that for the rest of us.

Yea, I'm on Drexel's DII team and I won't say Towson B and Rutgers B suck. That's just not true. I also don't think my own B team sucks (of course). I really hope that that guy is not a member of my club...

Ok let me qualify what tambo said then, since I frequent the USCHO boards (and used to be on Laxpower a ways back when I was still following lacross pretty heavily):

1) It seems that nearly 1/2 the posts on our college boards over the past three years have been mindless trash talk - better than no talk, but just saying 'your team sucks' with nothing to back it up is pretty silly.

At least the majority of posts on those boards (again, with thousands of threads there will be exceptions, but I'm not talking about exceptions to the rule) are about newsworthy items or actually making comparisons without reverting to simple trash talk.

2) Those sports are entrenched with solid fan bases. Will roller hockey ever be as big as ice hockey? Maybe not - but when people look for information on collegiate roller hockey this is one of the first places they end up due to the fact that IHC has been around for so long as is #1 on most of the major search engines.

I'm not saying it's fair - it's just the way it is - people stumble upon here and our first page consists of:

- Complaints about stats
- Complaints about nationals
- Complaints about X. Y, Z
- People testing out the profanity filter
- People creating additional screen names because they like hiding behind anonymity (yes, I know who you are)

What's your take on all this if you're a parent gung-ho about sending your kid to college when they are REALLY interested in continuing to play following high school? I know what mine would be.

Some of us take this as seriously as an NCAA sport because there is no NCAA equivalent. Some want to travel around and just have a good time on the weekends. There's nothing wrong with either - I think we all just need to be a little more accommodating to people who don't necessarily want the same thing out of the sport. (hint: we shouldn't all be in the same divisional structure!)

Everyone needs to chill out about this. Rutgers, Towson and Drexel all have one loss and those 3 losses were the result of these 3 teams beating each other. Drexel beat Ruters who beat Towson who beat Drexel. That sounds pretty even to me. And even though I didn't see the RU/Towson game, I 'm sure it was as entertaining as the Drexel games.

These 3 teams and SUNY Bing are all very good and I'm sure the 2nd half of the season and Regionals are gonna be some of the best hockey the B-division has ever seen.

I'm OK with talking a little smack on the boards, but there is a difference between razzing a guy and flat out being a jerk. Let's keep it clean fellas.
