Building a new rink and need some help!!!

I have been wanting to build a rink to play inline hockey in for years and now I am going to go foward with this.

Now here is where I need all the help I can get. Since I dont have any background in business I am asking any rink owners out there for some advice.

A few questions I do have however:

I know I am going to need some help with funds, how did you all go about securing yours? I have written a business plan that I have been working on for a few years now, and will be taking it to a few banks to see what they think.

I am trying to get my city to build the building on their land and I will lease it out, is this a good idea? If not I am also talking to a few land owners to see if they will split the cost of a building on their land.

Dont be afraid to help me there is no other rink close to me so I wont take any of your business. I know this rink will do well here, my city is very big on sports and there is no place to play.
