    MLRH not dead!

Their website says there is going to be a restructuring and the league will be playing this upcoming season. Good news if they can work out all the kinks....do I have the feeling I've been here before? I know, I know a dangling something or another....

    Hi Nancy,

You're right! I received an e-mail about this from Bill, and I'm glad to hear it.

More details will be coming soon.

    Re: MLRH not dead!

    Hi Nancy,

    Here's the announcement:

Major League Roller Hockey Returns for the 2006-07 Season

Member teams to share in ownership of restructured league

After a five-day hiatus, Major League Roller Hockey (MLRH) announced today that it will play the 2006-07 season. "Frankly, the amount of support from aound the country (and Europe) was heartfelt," said MLRH President Bill Raue. "This is the best possible outcome for MLRH and provides a structure for the league in future years. I was very serious about moving to England but this will allow the league to continue and grow."

    Teams to share in ownership
Under the new arrangement, all MLRH teams in good standing will participate in league operations and share in future expansion fees as well as league sponsorship monies. Individual teams will still enjoy their 50-mile exclusive marketing areas. Raue will retain the licensing rights to the MLRH name and MLRH properties. Additionally, Raue will remain active in the marketing and publicity for the upcoming season.

"MLRH will be in several new markets this season and I want to do all I can to ensure that they are succesful operations. Besides, when I announced that we were shutting down, so many people said so many nice things about me, I thought I must have died," Raue joked. "I'm enjoying the love."

"This is great news," said Chuck Foster, Coach of the Virginia Wings. "When I see the impact the Wings have had on the community and the fan support in a little town like Winchester, Virginia, it would have been a long winter without MLRH and the Wings."

MLRH will begin the 2006-07 season with several showcase games in November, with the balance of the 14-game season played December through March. League officials announced that the schedule will be announced within a few days.

"There may be a slight realignment of teams and Divisions but we are ready to go," said Eric Ortega of the Charlotte Outlawz.
    Sincerely,

I was wanting to know if there was going to be any California teams? I am stationed here in San Diego and have been looking for a team to play on that is willing to practice and play. If you could get back to be about this I would greatly appreciate that.
