Thread: Hyper Zero G Wheels

    Hyper Zero G Wheels

Has anyone seen or skated on these wheels?

    http://www.inlinewarehouse.com/descp...ml?pcode=HZCWM

Is any wheel really worth anything close to 20 dollars each? And does Hyper really think people are going to be willing to pay that much? It's interesting that the sentiment on the message boards is that inline needs to be cheaper and more accessible, and then you see 500 dollar skates and 20 dollar wheels... Good to see some companies like rink rat and revision with high quality affordable options for wheels, and yet it seems other companies are just going in the completely opposite direction...

Hey, thanks for the heads up...I'm gonna git mine today. It just may be hard skating on only one wheel per skate until I save up enough for the rest of them.

maybe if we work together we can share a set, or maybe i could buy a whole set and rent them out so i can make some of my money back...

If I remember way back to the beginning of 2006 (that would be Narch 2005, Mission booth); those wheels were on the new Mission 10000 Quatro's, while Rink Rats were on all the other worthwhile Mission line. Within a few months (Xmas 2005) I think all the 10000's were being shipped with Rink Rats on them because the Zero G's were splitting away from the hubs on anyones skates that weighed over 100 lbs.

But that is just what I heard...........could be completely wrong

good memory...my 1st pair came with hyper, my 2nd pair came with rats. Too bad i'm not heavy enough for the rats that came on my 2nd pair though, had to switch them out for the lightweight guy rats. Anyway, those wheels are a joke.

any of their wheels that bear the 62/76a XXX-grip....Yellow/Green Hornets, Red Hotshots, Red/White MB816's etc. Keep in mind that according to RR, 62/76a feels like a 72a in other wheels with traditional pours. Mtech is a different technology so traditional durometer ratings dont do rink rats any justice.

Oh yeah, revision also has a "weight class" on their wheels. Another note I wanted to add in defense of Rink Rat...there was a lot of chunking going on which can happen due to a bad batch but, most of the players around my way that were experiencing the problem, shouldnt have been skating the hardness/durometer that they were on for their weight. Would you put civic tires on an suv?
