Thread: Las Vegas Rink

    Las Vegas Rink

Our family was at the Vegas Rink the end of July, 06 for a National Youth tourney. It was a PIT. Don't know what the floor was like before, but it was extremely uneven with broken tiles and boards very unstable. Our players fell a lot and the puck did very unexpected things. Also VERY dirty; no PA system; refs used walkie talkies to communicate with scorekeepers outside the rink. Area businesses VERY unfriendly (except for very nice Mexican Restaurant nearby); very bad part of town with vagrants in and around. We drove from CO and were disgusted with the whole experience which included a ref offering alcohol to a youth player. My advice is to AVOID this place at all costs.

What facility were you in? I've been to numerous tourney's in Las Vegas and have nothing but positive experiences.

Shoot, score, then celebrate...followed by an appology for the pass you didn't make.

Unfortunately the rink in Las Vegas is not in a very good part of town. I am not sure about the businesses around the rink because I have never been in any of them. From playing on the floor weekly the tiles are not all flat but the broken tiles have been fixed. Do not attempt to make any long passes if you play on it. I meant to say this in my other post today. The inside could be better and at least we are getting new locker rooms.

calling the LVRHC a PIT is a joke in itself... ease up, not everybody gets to play at multi-million dollar rinks all the time.
