Thread: Wheel Rotation

    Wheel Rotation

How do most of you rotate your wheels? I know with the Hi-Lo setup it's different than the 80's all around. Do you always leave design facing inside and rotate the wheels between right and left boots or do you reverse design and keep same wheels on same boots.

    Just a curious question :P

    Re: Wheel Rotation

If you always leave the design on the same edge, you aren't really rotating them. You want to evenly wear them (inside edge/outside edge)

For example, if you had a 72/80 Hi-Lo setup and you numbered your wheels 1-4 on each skate (1=front 4=back) and common rotation would be:
    L1 (design out) > R2 (design in)
    L2 (design out) > R1 (design in)

    Make sense?

    Re: Wheel Rotation

I'll be honest, unless you're sponsored by the company, it really doesn't make That much difference which way you have the logo on the wheels. I usually start off with the logos facing out til they get a little worn, then I'll just flip the wheel in the same spot so it's logo is inside. I figure, by the time I actually need to flip the wheel between skates, It's time for new wheels. Just my deal. And I run a Labeda Sensor 76-72-80-80 setup.

But if you are running a 72-80 setup, SirCoach2U's method is the standard of rotating that I've seen in a couple different places.
