Game 1: 6-0 Growl
Game 2: 4-0 Growl

Don't read into the scores too much, the Fire are a good team and seemed to feel us out a little in the first game. We were patient and then jumped on our chances. It was 1-0 going into the half. Game two we got Sully, Keats and Beauchamp back and were ready to go, rolling 3 lines. I expect them to regroup and be ready for games 3,4 and 5 tomorrow. Its not over till its over. I'll post whenever additional info whenever I get a chance.

they are definitely a very good team, that kid Olson is nasty, he hit a few posts and had some great chances that Joey D. robbed him on. Game 1 both goal tenders kept their teams in the game in the first half. Shots were 12-12 at the half with a 1-0 advantage going to us. Could have been about 6-0 either way. Second Half, the shots were also pretty even, again the difference was Joey D. making the clutch saves when he had to, giving us great chances.

Game 2 seemed as though to wear them down a little more. After they kept with us in chances and shots in the first game, it was our depth that gave us the win. In my opinion we played a lot better in the first game. We were fighting the puck in the second game. Again, the goaltending for both teams was the story, that Clemens kid from the fire made a habit of robbing us whenever we had a great chance. He definitely gave them a chance all the way to the end.


Overall they are a very good team, i thought that the thin air may have played a bigger part then it did, i think the only thing it did was dry us out pretty quick. I think that the PIHA talent level is only continuing to grow and games 3 and more if ness. will be even better then yesterdays games.
