Edmonton Area Inline Hockey Players: Are you Interested in Playing Through the Winter?

The Northern Stars Roller Hockey League (http://www.rollerhockey.ab.ca/) has been operating a league out of the Xtreme Roller Hockey Centre (http://www.rollerhockey.ab.ca/XtremeZone/index.htm) in north Edmonton for the past two years. It has been the only organization in Alberta to try and do so during the traditional ice hockey season in fall/winter. Teams have played only once a week and out of necessity, the players on a team have involved a wide range of ages. The games have typically been "low key" in nature.

For the period mid October 2006 to mid-late February 2007, the Northern Stars Roller Hockey League would like to operate a more formal, competitive league involving 4 - 8 teams in an age division (e.g., 14U, 16U, 18U & adult or 14U, 17U & adult) with two games a week and a practice every other week (optional) with a pre-season conditioning camp in late September or early October. We are looking to limit the teams to 8 skaters and a goalie. Furthermore, the league schedule would be organized in order to form teams to take to tournaments in the U.S. (e.g., NARCh Winternationals) and Canada (e.g., British Columbia).

If you are interested in participating as a player, coach and/or official, we would appreciate hearing from you know in order to make plans for the coming season. Please send us the following information: your name, phone number, mailing address, e-mail, date of birth, and inline and ice hockey experience.
