    Professional players from all leagues

Many of you know me, many of you don't. Being a dying vet who doesn't have much left but his mouth, here's all I have left to say...

Stop bitching on public message forums about the state of the leagues that you participate in.

Yeah, every league has its problems. Even the real pros. The "new" NHL, the poor NBA officiating, the MLB and NFL drug abuse problems.

However, just because our leagues don't have the fiscal ability to slap you with a $20,000 fine doesn't mean you are afforded the right to slam whomever you want publically on a weekly basis.

How is that growing the sport?

How is that being productive at all?

These message boards are very much the majority of exposure this sport gets right now. So-called 'professional' players and coaches bitching about anything and everything on them only damages everything accomplished over the past years.

Yeah, I'll probably offend some people ... some friends ... with this post. However, I feel there are other avenues to achieve progress. Namely, pursuing private conversation regarding differences in opinion.

This sport isn't seasoned enough to withstand public ridicule from its own participants.

    Wake up people.

Until you are spending 20 or more hours a week just trying to run an organization, you can't point fingers at those of us killing ourselves to make this sport grow who then at times can be frustrated by stuff that needs to change. As long as our leagues are run by only a few people and not everyone has a say, the only thing anyone can do is speak in public forums like this. That is why I will never tell anyone to shut up or stop bitching, even if that bitching is directed at me, or the team I run. Everyone has a right to rip me a new one, and I would rather they do that, then sit in silence. That public debate keeps us all a little more honest.

    Make changes....
    Get even more involved...

Stating your opinion on a message board really does nothing. If it was a way to get things done, then boards could be used to settle arguments and issues with our chix. How sweet would that be? Everytime you get upset, you could just post your grievances and wham, all is fixed.

    Drink beer.
    Chase overpriced stupid black thing.
    Drink some more beer.
    Sleep Until Sept.
Wake up Sept. and bet Football.
