MINUTEMEN ARE IN
After a long and interesting season, the Minutemen are in the play offs. It has been a great month for PIHA as three teams were batteling for one last spot, but the Minutemen beat them out. It looks like the Minutemen will be facing the Growl and the Typhoon and Lunatics will be playing in the first round of the play offs. Best of luck to all teams. For you fans out there, make sure to come to the play offs. There will be some great hockey displayed, as there are 4 great teams competing to go to Colorado.

Re: MINUTEMEN ARE IN
Yeah they should be sme great games. It just stinks that we all have to travel to pittsburgh. Nothing against pitssbugh rink, i think it is nice. But we have to travel 6 hours, I would rather do half the trip to your rink, typhoon or growl.

Yeah it's a good drive. and no showers. But i agree. i would rather play closer to home or at home for that matter

Re: MINUTEMEN ARE IN
Nothing was worse than two years ago when my Pro team and Bridgewaters had to go play at the blast. Both traveled 3 hours when we lived 20min form each other.

Re: MINUTEMEN ARE IN
I understand that the league probably wants to show organization and have a set playoff venue, but I strongly feel that this is an instance when organization hurts the players and the league. If the playoff location was listed as a venue TBA, they could be held in Harrisburg, York, or Feasterville this season. Players would benefit because of travel expenses; the league, fans, and organizations benefit because fans can actually attend and support their team and also benefits because less travel = fresh players = better hockey to watch = better product to market for the future. Just my opinion.

Re: MINUTEMEN ARE IN
i agree that was a huge pain in the ass to drive out there just to run into matt cooper having the game of his life!! by far one of the best games in PIHA history though... as for driving 5 hours to play in a shoebox and then NOT shower... i think this was a mistake, but on the other hand this league is still growing. I guess i have an ice hockey mentality because i HATE not showering after a game, putting clean clothes back on, then driving over 5 hours home. Win or loss that ride home sucks! i thought if you won a playoff series it should be a nice clean short playoff series!!
anyways best of luck to the other 3 teams in the playoffs... under the conditions i think all 4 teams have an equal shot to making it to colorado!!
i'm not slow, i'm patient

Re: MINUTEMEN ARE IN
i agree. it does kinda suck driving that whole way to play a team a few minutes down the road. and feasterville is pretty much in between all the teams so that would work. atleast the partying saturday night will be fun. But the hung over drive home on Sunday is the worst.

Re: MINUTEMEN ARE IN
What hotel are we partying at because their are no good bars to go to there ? Unless you were talking about partying somewhere in Harrisburg. Maybe we should all pick a spot for all the players to party at after the games.

Re: MINUTEMEN ARE IN
we're going into Pittsburgh. we aren't staying in scottsdale. we did it the past 2 times we were there for games. it's a good time. And as of right now i have no idea where we are staying. Some guys were saying the Sheridan. but it ain't cheap.

Re: MINUTEMEN ARE IN
I'll talk to the guys and see what they want to do. Pittsburgh might be the move. I'll let you know.
