    "Sweet Sauce"

Sean "sauce" Sullivan is scoring goals by the truckload. The reason why I mention this is because while the league continues to get better, it seems, so does he. This 19 year old kid has improved not only his skills, but also his smarts of the game. He is adjusting his game according to what teammates are on the rink with him, which shows a level of maturity that he didn't have last year. When he's out there with teammates that don't especially need the puck so much, he uses his moves and his shot, and yet wen he's out there with a slower guy that needs the puck to be involved in the offense, he gives the puck up right away and goes into the passing lanes. It's great to see the development of young players like this, that are going to help the sport and league gather attention in the future.

Thanks Robby. That's nice of you to say, but at this point of my hockey career, when were out there together, I think I need him a heck of alot more than he needs me. Now if I could only get him to shorten his shifts a little when were not out there together....lol

I heard of " Sully" from a gentlemen in South Jersey who said that his son skated with him when they were younger. I have heard nothing but praise about this kid. I wish him continued success and the best of luck for the remainder of the season.

"sauce" has definitely turned the corner in becoming one of the elite and seems to have matured as a player. it's not always what you do when you have the puck but it's as much what you do when you don't and he understands that. he is having a great season.

Nice words Jimmy......I had him playing with us when he was 15. He has become a superstar in this league(PIHA) and I feel he could be playing Juniors up in canada right now.

    Re: "Sweet Sauce"

Well put Jimmy. In having the privilege of playing amongst the best, as well as reffed some of the up-and-coming best in the collegiate league, I have to say that Sean is one of the most talented young players I've seen in a long while. You are right in that these types of players are crucial to the exposure of the sport and not to slight Sully in the least, but there are plenty of other young players out there that deserve equal recognition (and that beat us defensively on a regular basis .... you more than me, though .... "Hey uh .... Naz get back! That guy is gonna blow right by me!")

Naz , I think your trying to be a little too Politically Correct. Any player, playing in this league has to be good to compete, the exception of course is me. With that being said everyone deserves equal praise, The young guys and the veterans , it shows the success of the league. But in regards to Sean Sullivan, He stands out the most of any young player in this league. The kid can flat out play! I dont think Jimmy's intent was to say the other young players in this league aren't good, But Sean is clearly the best of them all.
