I skate in the Tour Code 1 skates. Like them alot and havent had any problems with them. Only thing I didnt like about them is the Dynasty wheels that come on them with the mini mizer bearings. For about $100 buxs less you could get the new Tour Code e2. I have heard people like them better than the Code 1.

First of all, the Code 1's and Code E2's come with the same wheels, the Labeda Genesis, not Dynasty. I am sure you meant Genesis though.

I love the E2's. They are very comparable to the Code 1's. Save your 100 bucks and get a nice stick or something.

The best way to break them in is just suck it up and keep skating on them. I wore my E2's for the first time in a tourney and the first game they hurt, after that, they were awesome!

    Re: tour code 1 skates

My son doesn't have the code 1s, but does have the previous Beemer model which have a similar chassis configuration. It took about a week or two for him to get used to them (he switched from Mission D2s) and he skated "funny" for a while. Once he got used to them, he swears he'll never go back to the Missions. He feels (and looks) faster and the boots have held up well. I suspect that if his feet didn't grow so fast, we'd be able to keep them for awhile.

There was also a comment about ankles and breaking them in. You can't bake them - you just have to wear them. It takes a few weeks to be fully broken in. We used those big fat bandaids with extra padding to keep from developing blisters on the ankles.

The good thing about the Tour's is that the ankle support in the boot is much better than some of the other brands. My sons got none of the bending that we had with some other boots (Mission and Nike). One of my sons had a "natural" inward bend when he skates but the Tours cured him of it.
