    MINUTEMEN vs PHANTOMS

    Game 1: MM 5 PP 2
    Game 2: MM 4 PP 5

Game 2 was a great game, came down to third overtime on a one on one situation.

The second game was a great game to be apart of...Both games were close to MLRH style with all the contact and board contact. It is never an easy game when you are in morristown on that small rink, and you have guys who are as hungry as anyone on that team. I am sure everyone involved is looking forward to the rematch up in Pittsburgh, I know I am.

2 great games for sure. I think both teams had a lot of fun and the fans too with the long overtime. The refs did do a great job as well. Let go what needed to be let go and made the obvious calls.

Yes it was a great day to be apart of. The refs were great, we are pros they should let us play. The overtime was a great thing to see and our fans enjoyed it. Funny you talk about the small rink, it seems everybody does. It is small but we like it. Nice home field advantage. Yes we are a hungry team, with many guys playing from our Minor league team of a year ago, we know if we are not hungry we are not going to win. See you in PA.

by the way.. it think the small rink is sweet. it adds character, like the old boston garden!

showers would be a bonus though.

CJ only speaks for himself, i think one on one is pretty decent. only negative would be that the losing team deserves a point in a game like that... i also noticed on the PIHA website that the 1 on 1 ot is only supposed to be 2 minutes, and the 2 on 2 is supposed to be for 3 minutes... i think we played all the overtimes at 4 minute periods... maybe the rule book says differently than the website, i dunno... and ill say about the rink, it probably made those ot's a little easier than they would have been on a full size rink...

Jake, You make it sound like I didn't like the 1 on 1 format. This couldn't be further from the truth. I love the 1 on 1, just so long as I'm enjoying it from the bench. We all don't have the speed and patience of "the snake".

What a fun game to be a part of. I don't like the 1 on 1 rule though. It's a team sport. I think that it should stay at 2 on 2 untill someone scores.

i thought the funniest part of the 1 on 1 was the attempted line changes by both teams... clearly something that needs to be strategerized...

All they need to do is soak the floor with beer and let it dry so your shoes stick to the ground like an old hockey arena. thats character... im calling our rink manager immedietely!
