Where to cut a synergy stick

I have two Easton Synergy sticks where the blades have cracked. I was told that an Easton Synthesis blade will fit into the Synergy shaft if I cut it. Where on the shaft should I cut it to get a proper fit?

Im pretty sure you need to cut it just below the E symbol at the bottom of the stick...If you have a LHS around where you live take it there, they will know where to cut it for ya.

Actually you have to cut it pretty much in the middle of the taper(sometimes you can see the fusion point where the shaft and blade were fused together originally, and cut it there. Then use about a 3/8" steel rod to drive out the remaining plug, after applying some heat to the hozzle, to loosen the plug). But you can also just stick the blade in the upper end, and then cut the stick to whatever length suits at the blade end....The new upper end will then be a bit tapered, and some say they think this affects the stick's performance, but I can tell you my son who did this for a couple of seasons in PIHA and MLRH, found he had a better slap shot than with the original stick doing it this way....it's all personal preference really....He was using the Z carbon blades.
