More Assistance for Katrina Victims
Hi Folks,
As the devastation of Hurricane Katrina continues, the Chicago Bulldogs have teamed up with the American Red Cross to help aid victims. Using their entire 2005/2006 season as a venue, the Bulldogs will be raising money and awareness of the recent tragedy. Events include game-day, cash-donation collections and an internal fundraising effort.
Beginning the efforts on September 12, 2005, the Chicago Bulldogs will be accepting monetary donations at the season opener against the Blades at Center Ice of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Ilinois. Donations will be accepted throughout the entire season.
Also, on October 29, the Bulldogs will again partner with the American Red Cross. A porition of the ticket sales income from the Bulldogs game at the Allstate Arena as a preliminary game to the Chicago Wolves will be donated.
In addition, monetary donations will be collected on game day on October 29, at a Bulldogs post-game party for players and fans.
Finally, as an internal effort, the Chicago Bulldogs organization is challenging each staff member and player to donate what they can to the American Red Cross. All money donated by players will be matched by Bulldogs President/General Manager, Alex Martinez.
