Alright, now the Real question... is it gonna be an improvement over the past couple of years editions of the game... or is gonna keep steadily keep going downhill like it has since NHL '98? Hmmm...

For $19, I really like the ESPN 2k games.

Yeah, I got NHL 2005, and as soon as I did, the report for 2K5 came out and I was sooo bummed i got the EA version of things. I just hope EA can pull their hockey line out of the funk... spend a little more time on it like Madden and the NCAA games.

honesly, I bought both last year and sold my EA 2005 to Eb games right away. Kinda sucked that the $20 2k5 game was better than the $50 EA game. This year 2k6 is going for $20 and EA for $30, they both drop on 9/6.

Lets hope that it is good, rumor has it that ESPN will not be doing a hockey game this year since they do not have the TV rights. So lets hope EA has finally made the game good once again. Nothing beats the 97 version when you got into the fight and you made the guy bleed. Yes it was nasty but it sure was funny.

Why the hell is it sayin on the 2006 website that the game is in stores Sep. 15, when it is obviously out the 6th, or yesterday. I am looking to go purchase it today after class, but I dont want to show up and them not have it. I will probably get 2006 and 2k6, its only a 10 dollar difference, and I like various aspects of both the games.

ok, so I finally got the games... Best buy and circuit city didnt have them even on wednesday the 7th!! I know they are out though cause EBgames had em both.. as for the review, once again EA didnt get it right on the realism and gameplay. Stickhandling controls and graphics are awesome though. 2k6 is the better buy again this year and once again is cheaper too. So what if it isnt carrying the ESPN name!!

ps - Crosby isnt on either game yet, hasnt played a game in real life yet so he isnt part of the NHLPA yet. X-box live is putting out roster updates via x-box live in a couple weeks.

Yeah I went out and picked up NHL 06 today after i got outta class, its a good game, better than the last few years. It's a shame that the rosters are not totally up to date with all the player movement, oh well. I'll have to give 2k6 a look, as i got 06 for cube and i can get 2k6 for my ps2 or perhaps steal my bro's chipped xbox since it dont need xbox live to get that update.

You say EA doesn't have the rosters updated, but does 2K6 ?
