No, what's needed is time. Just like the NHL, it started small and built it's way up. Look at NARCH, it's the premier event, kinda like the Stanley Cup of Roller hockey. You can't make a sport huge in 10 years, it just doesn't work that way. So everyone needs to relax and enjoy themselves, we might be the pioneers of Pro Roller Hockey someday.

I can see your point, it takes time for everything to become great. All we are trying to do is to get a head start, and maybe get our sport some more exposure!

I think by tring to get some of our sport televised we could really see a big change in the way people precieve our sport.

We are just very passionate about roller hockey, and we want to see it grow!

I'm sure that in the early days of the NHL, nobody lifted a finger to expand their sport. It just happened, all by itself. Come on. Time will tell, but people make the difference.

I'm just saying the talent and the great play at tournaments like NARCH will make it big on it's own. I'm extremly passionate aboput the game too, but come on, not too many people would watch roller hockey on ESPN

I don't see why you'd rather leave it to chance. You cannot be certain that NARCh will make it big on it's own, because there are too many intangibles. It's obvious that you have faith in the league, as do many more, but sometimes fate needs a kick in the ass. As for people not watching roller hockey on TV, that is questionable. It might not get people tuning in, but would probably land a large number of channel surfers. Once the watch, hopefully they'll get hooked. Besides, have you seen some of the stuff that's on TV now? It's apparent that people will watch anything, we might just have to make NARCH into a reality show, that's all.

I agree with you on this one. The leaders of the sport, IMHO, are NARCh and CRHL. I dont know much about the first, but i do know about the college league. Its growing...EXPONENTIALLY. In just 3 years, the league as a whole has seen tremendous growth, and its not been televised, yadda, yadda....just people playing for the love of the game, getting others to play, etc. Id say we're doing damn well, especially after the sucess of NCT III (Nat. Champ. Tourn...yeah, im lazy )

What I think is really killing pro roller hockey's credibilitiy is Pro Beach Hockey......people always tell me they watch it, then ask why the hell are there ramps and is all roller hockey played with a ball.....is that the image we want America to have of the game?? No, but that's what ESPN wants, because it catches attention. To televise real NARCH quality hockey(with pucks and without ramps), you need good camera angles, good announcing, stuff like that, because it's a more organized thing. Look at thew trend in TV, all Extreme sports on ESPN......becaus eit's cheap to produce. So, what I'm sayin is, if it's done, it has to be done right, not half-assed with lame announcers and bad camera angles.

You are absolutely right about the PBH. But don't forget that ESPN didn't create PBH, PBH was pitched to them, and unfortunately, they bought it. One of our objectives is to get NARCh's permission to pitch them to ESPN. There are many more details involved, but you get the idea.
