    Shoulder pads

Hi, I am planning to start playing with shoulder pads (after breaking my collar bone). I would like them light, comfortable and not too hot. Do you have any recommendations?
    thank you

I use the Bauer Classic's for rec ice hockey. I wanted something like you said, light, not too bulky, but covers the basics. Take a look http://www.hockeygiant.com/bauclscspsr.html

They do the job fine for me. Depending on how solid you want them to be around your chest and back they might be a bit primative. The spine and sternum protection is effectively high density foam, no p.e. inserts or anything flashy. The biceps have plastic covers which is good. The rest is the usual foam.

If i didn't have these i would consider the mission M-1 or look at the Itech range. Also if you want to minimize the bulk of the shoulder caps, take a look at Lacrosse shoulder pads.

    Hope this helps.
