    Helmets

Guess I'm really bored this afternoon...

Is there anybody out there who feels there is a better helmet than the Bauer 5000...

I realize that the B8000 is supposed to be "better," in terms of protectiveness, and I have had guys tell me it is very comfortable. CCM, Tour, ITECH, and others have copied the B5000 dual-density foam liner system...

I simply feel that none of these other models comes close to the "coolness" of the B5000. Perhaps I should study up again on Aesthetics in Philosophy or Psychology, but that's just my personal bent on the issue...

Anybody truly think that any other helmet model looks cooler?

I used to have a Bauer 5000 and it was comfortable until the padding fell out. Then I got a Mission carbster which feels tight against me head until I get use to it. I am currently using the CCM version of the 5000 and it feels the same. I buy a helmet for protection and comfort and not for look.

Our team was provided this year with the Bauer HH8000L. The helmet is top notch(comfort,protection,style,etc...) We got a silver color that is one of the best looking I've seen. You can see pics on the XIHL website

Our team has the new Reebok 8k Helmet. it's the lightest helmet i've ever used. one player at pickup held his bauer in one hand and the rbk with a cage in the other and said the Rbk was still lighter.
