Goalie Wheels
L&G:
Lookin' for suggestions for goalie wheels to use on sport court and some for roll-on surfaces. Please include any info on grip versus slip performances and any other characteristics worth noting.
Thank you in advance for any information.

I have heard that the new Labeda Joe Bonvie wheels are great for sport-court. They are suppose to be the best in terms of sliding from post to post, and the shape of the wheel is a little different then a standard goalie wheel. It might be something to tryout.

Check epuck.com, I've seen some goalie wheels on there before, although I'm not sure about the brand

Re: Goalie Wheels
Huck,
Without having tried the Bonvies myself, I cannot comment on them. Hyper makes a goalie wheel which is mentioned above. It is made for regular flat four wheel chasis, though I've seen some put them on Hi-Los. With some practice, you can slide from post to post, as on ice, but with more friction. You'll need to really push, and have you foot in the correct angle. Bauer makes a five wheel goalie skate, which has even smaller wheels, which offer more slide. Another common practice, is to using the aggressive inline skaters' grind wheels as goalie wheels. This type of wheel is fat, and may not fit in your chasis depending on brand. It does offer good slide though.
On a side note, droplets of sweat or water in the crease can really mess you up. I suggest to all goalies that they bring a towel with them to dry the crease (like clearing snow in ice hockey). Even better if you bring two; throw one in the net to use on the floor, and leave the second on top to dry your head between whistles.
