    Knights @ WIngs- MLRH Result

The wings played their best game of the season last night. They had the lead by as many as 3 goals at one point but ended up losing in overtime 8-7. Great game, great fans. With the new additions to their all being present, they are a much better team than their stats show. Carolina is now 4-0 and next face the Philly RAGE in Carolina this coming saturday night. The knights have won their last 3 games by one goal in 4th quarter comebacks and their last 2 games in OT.

I dont know who they were... I only knew Ian Ward by face..there were a few I didnt recognize from our season opener in Carolina Against them. Their goalie robbed me on the doorstep all alone with 5 secs in regulation..was dreamin about it all night, sucked big time. I played my worst game of the season, I always play bad on Ice Court though.

You'd recognize most of them. Chris and Jeff Harrell, Ian, Pat Morgan and new to check hockey Matt Dula. Ian coached several of these guys at Strawbridge. I think Scott McDougall was in net the 2nd half, another Warrior who didn't play in net back then.

Thanks Nancy.....I should have asked you to begin with...Street, what do you mean you had a bad game? I was going to try to get up there, but I was coaching a Junior game from 630-830 and I would of had a 1.5 hour drive.

Crowd again was terrific, we have drew maybe 200 people. The local community has been very supportive and for the first time we were able to field a roster of 12 skaters. We started with 6 skaters in Carolina back in January when I was asked to take over. 4 had never played contact or any level above high school. One by one we have found players and through the help of Pat Morgan, Ian Ward and the others we finally have a competitive group. Chris Harrells goal was spectacular Matt and Jeff were solid.
Penalties killed us, 5 were called in the last 15 minutes. We got called with :07 on the clock on what I thought was a cheap call. The players should be allowed to decide the outcome not the refs. Mc Dougall made as good a save as you will ever see to keep us in it. We killed the remaining portion into overtime but Carolina got us about 20 seconds later.
