I'd like to start some debate on the topic of PIHA's new two game format.

This was CJ's idea back in December and I personally had mixed feelings on it and decided not to pass judgement until we implimented and gave it a shot.

At this point I feel as if it has been a positive experience for the Growl. During our home opener against the Typhoon, the game would clearly have been over at the half with us up 10-2 and gave the Typhoon a good reason to regroup and give us the tough fight they did in game two. I think anytime teams come away with a split, everyone needs to go home atleast happy that there was a good night of hockey. So far I think from a hockey perspective, this plan has worked out. There are clearly some game day management issues I have with it, but that is another topic perhaps.

Just curious to hear from others with opinions on the topic or a positive/negative experience with it so far.
