I've provided a decent defense for the first time in three seasons. I was hoping that would be the end of our goalies considering jumping off bridges.

If you jump, i'm taking down that sweet shot of you stone'n Ying. Cheap website plug...

I'm not a genius, by any means. What is Goodenow thinking? It's beyond me... He barely had any leverage at all. Now he really has nothing. The players were even more stupid for not jumping off a sinking ship. In the end there going to get @$#^%

    Re: Well.....

I heard on fox sports radio that many players are trying to create a mutiny and get the previous deal put out by bettman. Thats a dream. As long as goodenow gets fired i'll be happy.

    Re: Well What If.....

Now here's something to consider... I've thought about this and I can almost stick up for Bettman. (not that I want to *cough SCHMUCK cough cough*) But let me know what you think about this hypothetical situation.
Alright Say that The Gretz was the Commish. And Wayne goes, "Gentlemen, we NEED this salary cap to keep our sport alive and flourishing for generations to come." Do you think the players union would have put up quite as much of a fight? Personally, I think if Wayne said this, I think that the union/players would have went "You know what, he's absolutely right, lets make this happen." And we would have a salary cap in place without much of a fight, a full season of hockey, and we MIGHT have a sport that can now unite around a common goal and not worry about financial whoa's so much.
So I think Bettman is the wrong man in office, and the wrong man in office at the Wrong time.
    Just a thought...

    Hi Yokes,

It's impossible for me to feel sorry for the players or the owners and the commissioner. Instead, I feel sorry for the fans who've supported the NHL for so many years. A pox on both their houses, to steal a line from Billy Shakespeare.
