Chicago leagues
I'll be moving up to the Naperville, IL area, and was wondering if there was any competitive leagues up around there for a former CRHL captain. I was hoping to find a MLRH team up there, or something but so far I've had no luck, what about like Black Biscuit teams, or Mission? If anyone knows please respond or send me an email at [email protected] Thanks!

Re: Chicago leagues
Naperville, eh? Welcome to MY neighborhood. There's quite a bit out here. There is a Black Biscuit team here somewhere, but don't know where they play. Hmm. Lets See..
Glen Ayre, north of Naperville by about 20 minutes in Carol Stream. Lots of former College of DuPage players play there for pickup nights and in the league. Talent is pretty good, on average. www.glenayreclub.com I think pickup is from 10-12 PM, wed and Thurs. 1 full-sized rink, Sport Court.
Darien Sportsplex, east of Naperville in Darien...about 15 minutes or so. Offers Inline only during the summer. 2 rinks, sport court. This rink probably has the best talent/competition, followed closely by Glen Ayre. 630-789-6666. I forget when pickup is...gotta check on that.
The Orbit, Palatine. Never played there, dont know much about it...about 45-an hour away, north.
Mainstreet, southeast of Naperville in Bolingbrook/Romeoville. Smallish roller skating rink, wood floor. Competition is decent, mid-level silver, but very friendly. No boards. 630-759-5694. Pickup is friday from 11-1, and sunday from 7-9. Men's league is monday night, and they put together silver/gold teams on occasion to play over at darien.
The Dome, in Elgin. Again, dont know much about it, just thats its there. About an hour away, north west. Some good talent supposedly plays there as well.
DuPage River Park, Naperville....just south of the intersection with Washington St on Naperville Rd, south end of town. Outdoors, fully boarded/lighted...i still havent figured out exactly what the tile is, but its fast, albeit slick...takes some getting used to. I play there on a regular basis nights and weekends...there's often a good crowd...sometimes as many as 30-40 people, taking shifts. Skills range from beginners to gold level...usually high bronze.
Feel free to drop me an email when you get into town...id be more than happy to help ya out.

Re: Chicago leagues
hey puboy, whats your name?
i dont know if you know who i am, but ive played at the dome and for ecc in the midwest region. i was number 66 with our white old jerseys and number 10 with the projoy jerseys, but we will be playing supposedly with some of your purdue guys this summer in the silver division at the dome, i know from what ive been told that vilmur and wampach are playing with stewart, tony borrico jr, and i? so it should be fun and we should do very well! as for surrounding rinks, i know glen ayre which is located like a little bit west of schmale road on north ave has rat hockey on thursday nights from like 10pm until 1am. its like $5 and isnt too bad of competition. as for darien, they only have one rink and all the sportcourt isnt the best, but its hockey.... the competition is somewhat decent, but everyone at the dome in elgin is much better....not only do people kick back and have a couple in the parking lot after games, but they also bbq some wiennies and burgers after the game as well, so its cool as hell....if you have any questions, just email me at [email protected].....talk to ya later...

Re: Chicago leagues
My name is Nick Kasprzyk, #21 for Purdue the past 4 years. I've talked to Wampach and stuff, the only problem about the dome in elgin is the fact that it takes me an hour to get there from naperville. I played there last summer and the competition is pretty good, I was just was looking for something as competitive only closer, but if I could car pool w/ someone that would work out too. Plus if Vilmur is playing that could get interesting. Did you play last summer? Anyway, I find it kinda interesting that you have a screen name of isuboy and play for ecc! Peace!
