Buying a New Frames
Hey guys, I love my Tour 962 boot, so I am going to purchase new frames, but I am not sure what to buy. I love to skate on high lows and the local pro said to the get the red star frame for around $100 with swiss bearing and rink rat wheels. He would mount them and the wheels for a total 250. Can you guys help

Re: Buying a New Frames
Looking for donations?.....Let's see...Frame Red Star Alloy $90.00, Rink Rat Hornet wheels at internet pricing $72.00, Swiss Bearings at best internet pricing...$80.00, freight say $5.00, installation at $25.00.....ka ching....$272.00 before tax.....if he is offering you $250.00 including tax.....good deal.
If you go with the Red Star Silver E frame HiLo($50.00), which is also made of 7000 extruded aluminum, the Rink Rat Hot Shots (still very good wheels)at $48.00, and the Swiss bearings at $80.00, pay him $25.00 to install the chassis (assuming that's all he will charge if he doesn't get all the rest of the order)plus $5.00 for regualar overland shipping.
Then your new "Ka - ching"...is: $208.50 or close assuming only tax now on the installation charges.

Re: Buying a New Frames
Donations are always a plus.... Thanks for the advice. I will look into that second frame and see if the guy can get it. So either way you look at it I am getting a good deal. Thats good to hear. Thanks again

Re: Buying a New Frames
Yes for an inexpensive frame, the Red Star E-frame is a very good buy..and a good frame too. You can always buy a lesser bearing too..to help cut down on the cost...Bevo's are ok too. Swiss seems to be the best however, but you may never really notice the difference if you prep them properly. Maybe see if you can get a deal on a Hum'er chassis with Dynasty wheels and bearings already mounted.
