blue max vs beemers vs helium

I am looking to buy new skates. I have always used Missions. I was thinking about giving these new Tours a try. My question is should I try Tour and which skate from tour? Is the Beemer worth the xtra $$$ ?
Or should I just stick with Mission and Buy The new Heliums?
Any input would be great - Thanks in advance

My son has only tried the Beemers..and he loves them. We have friends who have tried both, and preferred the Blue Max's...so it's kind of a take your pick.

In terms of comfort, the Tour skates and the Missions are probably be about equal but that will to a great degree depend on what sort of fit and feel you like. I think the Tours may offer a higher degree of padding, so they may be a bit more protective....trade off is weight..the Tours will be heavier.

In terms of durability the Tours with the with the wrap around outsole designed to add more glue contact area between the boot and the outsole(along the lines of the older CCM 852's, 952's, and 1052's) should see less problems than the Missions whose Helium 950's have already been having problems with the outsole detaching from the boot. I am sure Mission as a responsible company, probably has someone on there way over to China as we speak to see what can be done to correct this.

In terms of performance, Mission has an edge from the point of view of weight..they are lighter. However Tour offers the new Labeda Hum'er chassis with it's all 80 mm wheel set up, which although also adding more weight, provides better acceleration, additional speed and stopping power versus the traditional smaller wheeled HiLo's on the Missions.

There are some who will argue that this all 80 mm wheel chassis reduces the agility levels of the skater (Mission for one lol)....but of those I have seen making the claim, none that I know have actually used the new chassis. Most I have read who spoke against the Hum'er seem to be speculating based on theoretical assumptions.

In my experience with at least 8 users, the gains in performance overide the "loss of agility" simply because the skaters adjust to the different feel within a couple of skates, but the performance gains remain.

If reduced weight, comfort and "flash"(the new high end Missions are "flashier" than the new Tours) is most important for you, then the Missions are probably what you want. If comfort, increased protection, durability and a measurable increase in performance are your criteria, then Tour is probably the better choice.

So you never skated on the Beemers or Blue Max's but you know you prefer the Missions....hmmm sounds like Mission marketing hard at work....Have you seen all the complaints about the HE 950's on other sites? Outsoles coming loose, boot wrinkling and creasing after two skates, wheels chunking....haven't seen one quality complaint about the Tour stuff on the same sites.....

Well when someone makes claims that are false and misrepresentative and does it in another language, I take exception....the "quality" problems he said were only in older models, is not exactly the case....in fact there are multiple posts on other sites dealing with all the current problems people are having with the HE 950's.

In fairness to Mission, Justin is being very up front and dealing with every case as it comes up, apparently supplying replacement skates as quickly as possible.....

However to make the claim point blank that it is because of Mission's "quality" that he would choose them, but in another language, when it is apparent that the poster can speak in either, smacks of either childishness or some desire to hide what he has to say.

He is more than welcome to prefer Mission skates, and to say he does, obviously, but to react the way that poster did to some contrary information.....smacks of petulance....Must have been a fugitive from Seelweenies...hell you think they would be used to confrontation by now.....
