Mission D3c/ Bauer 20-90/ Nike Roller Daddy
Hello,
here in Germany a online store offers me these 3 skates
- Mission D3c
- Bauer 20-90
- Nike Roller Daddy
all for the same price.
My problem is, that i cant try them on in a online store ...
So wich one do you thing should i get?
The skate should have a comfortable fit, shouldnt lose its stiffness to fast and all in all should be very durable!
Until now, i used a Bauer 4000 skate and liked it very much, but after 4 or 5 years now, they begin to fall apart ...
So wich skate would you choose?

The Missions and the Nikes are not comfortable for me, I would go with the Bauers!! The Nikes arch support was very uncomfortable and the Mission as well. The Mission also has that new lacing system that looks and acts like a fitness skate and I could never get them tight!! I wear the Bauer Vapor X and XV and they rule! Just about any of the Bauers are good, but your foot is going to determine what you can wear!! I know how difficult it is to buy skates when you cannot try them on...it sux!! Good luck!!

Why don't you go to hockey giant .com and use there sizing chart related to shoe size to make a better decision. I would go with the Mission or Bauer.

here is the address that you can put your size in and then the recommended size for the skate you want will appear.

Re: Mission D3c/ Bauer 20-90/ Nike Roller Daddy
Tahnks for telling me your experiance with the skates!
But some updates:
the shop gave me a wrong price for the bauer 20-90s ... almost 100 EUROS more than Mission D3cs and Nike Roller Daddys!
So in my price range is just the D3c, Roller Daddys or Bauer 20-50 (20-70 is out ..).
For the sizing: i almost exactly know which size i need for each of the skates, thats not the problem (and if they dont have the 100% correct size i can send em back).
But i would like to buy the best skate for my money!
The guy at the online store said, that the Mission D3c would probably be the skates for the money, and that bauer makes nice ice skates but not inline skates!?
So i almost decided to buy the Missions ... what would you say?

Re: Mission D3c/ Bauer 20-90/ Nike Roller Daddy
Cannot speak for the Roller Daddies, but the Nike HiHo's have a great reputation for comfort in general...although like any manufacturer's skate, there will be those who do not find them comfortable....maybe email Nike and ask how the Roller Daddies are in comparison to the HiHo's..now down to $239.99USD on Hockey Giant....The HiHo's fit at least 1 size larger than most of the other skates we have seen...so a size 9 becomes a size 8 in the HiHo's..
The arch issue has not been that wide spread from what I have heard from those who have used the Nike's. The other issues would be which wheels and chassis are coming on these skates...sometimes it's cheaper to go up a level in a skate and get the better wheels as stock, than to buy a lower end skate and then have to buy better wheels and chassis shortly afterwards.
The new Tour Skates also have a good reputation for comfort, but like everthing else..there is a shape that suits some better than others..
Durability issues have become overshadowed in recent years by weight and performance enhancements, with many companies feeling that most skaters are getting hooked on the newest technology, and are going to change skates probably once a year now. Consequently there is less incentive for these companies to build in durability, as the materials used to make the skate more durable typically add weight... which of late is seen as a marketing issue that can negatively impact new sales.
In ice skates the Bauer Vapor XX's are a prime example...now being replaced by the Bauer Vapor XXX...the XX's had a reputation for not lasting more than a season before they lost their "feel" or stiffness, and required replacement....but those who used them were hooked on the intital performance. This is very common where companies are chasing the lightest high performance skates, rather than the most durable skates. Kind of like autoracing where the performance tires you will consume with regularity on the track and not think much of it, would make you furious if you got that sort of wear on a street tire.

Re: Mission D3c/ Bauer 20-90/ Nike Roller Daddy
Hello
i just want to let you know that i bought the mission d3c's.
As they arrived, i immediately tried them on in my house (rain outside ...). They fit 100% exactly, but, as all new skates, a little tight.
Today i had my first hockey training with em. First 15 minutes they were a bit .. uncomfortable.
BUT as soon as they got hot after the first 20 minutes they fitted better and better! After 1 hour of training they felt like a 2 month worn pair of skates!! WOW i love these skates!!
I'm very happy that i bought the mission d3c! very comfortable, very light, just as a good hockey skate should be!
